Performance Characteristics

SYSTEM

Class-A extruded PVC profiles with class “S” compounds (harsh climates). TPE/EPDM triple seal strip.

FIXED FRAME

Frame thickness of 82 mm, 7 chambers with 15/10 mm thick steel reinforcements. French windows with 39 mm lowered threshold heights. EPS thermal insulation in the main internal chamber.

SASH

82x84 mm section sash profile, and 6 chambers with 20/10 mm thick steel reinforcements. Glazing bead frames with square profile. EPS thermal insulation in the main internal chamber.

GLASS

Double glazing with magnetronic low-e coating, warm-edge spacer. The double glazing is held in place in the sash profile housing by an outer glazing bead frame and sealed with suitable inner and outer gaskets.

HARDWARE

Hinges: Drill-in tilt-and-turn type, which do not interrupt the continuity of the sash seal strip. Maximum hinge capacity 100 kg.

Closing system: Tilt-and-turn mechanism with adjustable latch closure.

Glazing

The following requirements must be solved on the glazed surface of the frame:

• to make as much natural light as possible flow into the home

• to guarantee suitable thermal insulation

• to guarantee suitable acoustic insulation

• to guarantee a level of security in the event of a break-in

This is why Fossati Serramenti offers customers very different glass: low-e, selective, acoustic, with burglar-resistant certified film, and tempered. When combined with double or triple glazing, which is also designed depending on the building’s exposure, they optimise the energy efficiency of the entire house. This creates quieter, more welcoming and secure areas, where the lower heat transfer saves a considerable amount of energy.
